Planet Friendly Music
Wherever possible, LMFP makes albums with an eye towards sustainability without sacrificing the audio experience. We recognize the eco-minded interests of the consumer, and appreciate that the music industry is also making the shift towards more sustainable practices. As more options become available, we will continue to explore avenues that remind us to protect our planet.
The Vinyl- Starting with "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown (Original Soundtrack Recording)" LMFP has used BioVinyl, and again for "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown - 50th Anniversary Extended Edition" and "It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown - Peanuts 75th Anniversary Edition." LMFP has also used an EcoMix that recycles existing LP materials and bio-attributed products in certain other LP productions. Here are some of the advantages of BioVinyl and other efforts we have made to ensure materials are sourced sustainably:
-Replaces petroleum in S-PVC by recycling used cooking oil or industrial waste gasses.
-100% CO2 savings in S-PVC production rather than traditional PVC.
-ISCC PLUS certification guarantees sustainable PVC supply chain,
-100% recyclable and reusable.
-FSC-certified paper stock (jacket, insert, OBI strip, labels) for zero deforestation.
-Compostable, reusable PLA bag, made from 99% renewable material.
-Acoustic and optical quality identical to conventional vinyl records.
Examples:
The CDs-
-We use intentionally eco-minded manufacturing for CDs made domestically.
-We used recycled trays for "You're Not Elected Charlie Brown" and "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown."
-We use FSC certified paper stock for the inserts from sustainably forested trees. It's 100% recycled board stock for the packaging.
-"You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown" CD polybag is not intended to be discarded/not a single use item. The customer would keep it in most cases. But it can be recycled, using the proper avenues for recycling.
