IT'S YOUR 20TH TELEVISION ANNIVERSARY, CHARLIE BROWN
CBS 05/14/1985 |
Charles M. Schulz hosts a toast to his character's 20th Anniversary on TV. Schulz shows how a typical TV cartoon is put together; how a recording session is done; and the majority of this hour is devoted to clips from the many "Peanuts" TV specials. Among the highlights: scenes from "What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown?", a moving visit to the D-Day site in France; the adventures of Snoopy as the Masked Marvel, North Pole sled dog, magician extraordinaire and the dancing "Flashbeagle"; and portraits of bossy Lucy, blanket-cuddling Linus, Snoopy's feathered friend Woodstock, independent Peppermint Patty and, on the pitcher's mound, good old Charlie Brown. |
