THIS IS AMERICA, CHARLIE BROWN: THE SMITHSONIAN AND THE PRESIDENCY

CBS 04/19/1989

In Washington, D.C., Charlie Brown and his friends visit The Smithsonian Institution and the Presidency Exhibit at The Museum of American History. Through flashbacks, they visit with Lincoln in his railroad car while en route to Gettysburg, where we see him give his famous speech. We see President Roosevelt go to Yosemite Valley with John Muir, and they go back in time to 1933 with FDR. Finally, in the present, Charlie Brown and Marcie conclude that the Presidency is a tough job and that it takes a special kind of Person to be President of the United States. Music by Dave Grusin.
